Alan and Sally Keiran
Founders of Dunamis International Ministries
Alan and Sally Keiran are co-founders of Dunamis International Ministries, which seeks to bring renewal to the church through the power of God’s Holy Spirit. They have ministered to the body of Christ in preaching, teaching, prayer
ministry and servant leadership roles in ministry in the Navy Chaplaincy and presently through Alan’s work at the U.S. Senate.
Alan completed his theological training at Eastern Baptist Seminary in 1979 and was ordained into the ministry at First Baptist Church Amherst, MA, prior to his commissioning as a Naval Reserve Chaplain. Alan was called to active duty as a U.S. Navy Chaplain in 1980 where he served aboard the USS Texas, Oceana Naval Air Station (VA Beach, VA), Marine Corp Air Station (Iwakuni, Japan), Chaplain’s Advanced Course (Newport, RI), Sixth Marine Regiment (Camp Lejeune, NC), Chaplain’s School Advanced Course Director, Marine Forces Pacific Chaplain (Camp Smith, Hawaii) and Senior Chaplain (Camp Lejeune, NC). Alan served as an active duty Chaplain for over 23 years retiring in August, 2003, at the rank of Captain while serving as the Executive Assistant to then Chief of Navy Chaplains, Rear Admiral Barry C. Black. Since September, 2003, Alan has served as Chaplain Black’s Chief of Staff in the Office of the U.S. Senate Chaplain. Sally has ministered along with Alan throughout their years in the Navy in leading small group Bible studies for women. From 1993-2004 she organized three Marches for Jesus in Newport, RI, and National Day of Prayer events in NC and VA. She finds great joy in teaching the Word of God, mentoring younger women, participating in prayer ministries, and speaking at retreats. Since September, 2005, Alan has also served as the part time English Ministry Pastor at International Calvary Church in Springfield, VA. He is a 1986 graduate of Princeton Seminary (Th.M. in Religion and Culture) and a 1997 graduate of Gordon-Conwell Seminary (D.Min. in Christian Spirituality).
